I.T. for the Terrified
is a training centre with a difference. It provides informal training, either on designated courses or one-to-one sessions, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It is managed and run by unpaid volunteers, and prices can therefore be kept low. We pride ourselves on providing a high quality training, aimed at fulfilling the needs of each individual.
We can help with most topics on all computers and tablets at most levels. You can bring your own laptop, or use our machines. We can cover most topics, from absolute basics to downloading photos from your camera through to more advanced usage on all Windows systems, iPads, Androids, Tablets, eReaders, etc
Our courses include how to use e-Bay, photo manipulation, and genealogy. We also do occasional workshops on a specific topic. We have volunteer trainers who can help you with computer basics, digital cameras, internet and e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets, creating flyers and promotional materials, and web design. If you want to learn how to do something, we'll do our best to find you a trainer who can help you - whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced IT user with a specific IT problem. If you already have these skills, perhaps you'd like to be a trainer?
If you are interested, give us a ring, e-mail us, or just pop in to the Centre, so that we can discuss your requirements.
Please note - closed from 19th July to 3rd September for our summer break.
